James Analytics was founded by Trevor James — a finance professional turned data scientist who spent years watching businesses struggle with the same problem: they had the data, but not the tools to actually use it.
After five years in the investment world and earning four FINRA licenses, Trevor understood what good financial analysis looks like. The problem was that the tools to do it well were either built for enterprise teams with six-figure budgets or cobbled together in spreadsheets that broke every quarter. Small and mid-size businesses — the ones growing the fastest and making the hardest decisions — were left without a real option.
James Analytics exists to fix that.
The Background
Trevor holds a degree in Finance and is completing his Master of Science in Data Science at Regis University in 2026, where he recently earned a graduate certificate in Data Science. His research in computer vision — building real-time prediction models from broadcast video using object detection, template matching OCR, and machine learning — earned the Faculty Choice Award, making him an award-winning, published data scientist before finishing the program.
He’s also a military veteran, bringing the discipline and bias toward execution that shows up in everything James Analytics builds.
This combination — deep financial expertise, advanced data science, and a builder’s mentality — is what makes James Analytics different. The platform isn’t built by engineers guessing at what finance teams need. It’s built by someone who’s done the work.
